During your initial parent/guardian and student orientation you will learn about our comprehensive 52 week life changing track for youth ages 10yrs old to 18yrs old who have completed 4th grade through 12th grade. Your child is not alone; in fact more than 75% of young people experience > 4 out of 10 on the ACES scale; based on life trauma & other mental health issues.
Through the practice of active listening, loving, learning, and leading (referred to by our mentors as L4); our trained mentors will be intentional about better understanding your child's emotions, feelings and life challenges.
Let us be one of your child's TRUSTED role models in your their life that they can feel comfortable telling anything to; including their most sensitive thoughts!
We are committed to earning the right to be heard by both you and your child. TRUST us to be that friend, coach, teacher, advocate, and mentor that you and your child can count on and be committed to accepting you just the way you are but also identify areas that can use improvements!
We match your child with a TRUSTED, CARING, COMMITTED, SCREENED & TRAINED MENTOR AND COUNSELOR who can relate to your child in a different way from that of a parent/guardian. In addition our COUNSELORS will be trained to address mental health issues that are identified from your child's ACEs evaluations.
Were not going to cross boundaries, take sides or assume a parenting or guardianship role; however will work closely with you to fill the gaps and sometime even overlap with your consent of course.
Since YouthOne staff and volunteers are not licensed behavioral therapists, counselors or mental health professionals; we do not give advise, diagnosis to or any plan of care to our members. Nor does YouthOne try to evaluate the root cause of the problem. We basically focusing on mentoring, coaching, teaching, instruction. YouthOne guides our students toward future resolution and improvement not revisiting or dwelling on the past. If professional advice, diagnosis or urgent mental health conditions are discovered; we will work with parents/guardians to match your child with one of our community contractors and licensed professionals to address your child's behavior, emotional and mental health issues directly; ALL discussions with parents and students will remain 100% strictly confidential unless otherwise required by law.
During our sessions if a parent and child can't resolve a family matter and only after trying to address it between themselves; our mentors, life coaches and counselors.
YouthOne can also offer skilled conflict resolution; to develop a plan with one of our community partners to resolve your issues, conflicts, disputes and develop a plan to resolve them!
MentoringOne is a comprehensive Life Skills program designed especially for YOUTH at least 6 yrs old and no older than 17 yrs old who have completed the 1st through 12th grade.
YouthOne teaches adolescents to acknowledge, address, and find solutions for the many problems young people face today.
MentoringOne invites Lake County students to experience family away from home in a safe, controlled environment with caring, trusted, trained and screened youth mentors and if necessary counselors to assist your child and help them reach their full human potential.
MentorOne is a 52 week program intensive Life Skills Program. MentoringOne addresses manny commun hurts, habits, and hang ups; Youth today are wrestling with numerous challenges including but not limited to: School, Academic, Life Choices, Home, Anxiety, Depression, Divorce, Parents, Food, Financial, Self harm, Medical, Suicide, Loss, Bullying, Substance Abuse & Alcohol, Pregnancy, Personal Identity, Domestic Violence, Disrespectful, Disobedient, Defiant, Sexual/Emotional/Physical abuse, Peer Pressure, Homelessness, Adverse Interactions with Law Enforcement, Gang Affiliation, Criminal Activity, and more….

• Incorporates mind, body and spirit in to our sessions.
• Snacks, beverages and encouragment are served during the meetings.
YouthOne provides Lake County Students with a SAFE, CARING, NURTURING, EMPOWERING and HEALTHY ENVIRONMENT where our students who have completed 1st through 12th grade who are ages 6 yrs old to 17 yrs old and can have the most fun ever, meet new friends and travel to new places out of Lake County while still learning skills, communicate, process their own feelings, work on life issues, learn to apply principles that will help them to live more productive lives, free from life’s hurts, habits & hang-ups. Lake County Youth Services Inc. Dba YouthOne supports its student members through third-party youth organizations we collaborate with to operate, manage, sponsor and staff its traveling sports teams, overnight camps, clinics, conferences, tournaments and other high risk events, activities, trips and outdoor adventures.
Our third party entities assumes the liability, compliance, risk and requirements under AB 506 unless otherwise designated in writting. Lake County Youth Services Inc. Dba YouthOne adheres to the strictest Safesport, MAAPP and Insurance Policy standards and best practices regarding on one contact, molest, bullying, hazing, harassment and other abuses.
Lake County Youth Services Inc. Dba YouthOne provides its student members parents/guardians the opportunity to appoint our non profit youth development organization as their childs agent, representative, attorney-in-fact and/or short term guardianship unless a preexisting dual relationships and/or personal care assistant Lake County Youth Services Inc. Dba YouthOne adheres to all the recent regulatory compliance including but not limited to AB506 and other state and federal laws.
